We’ve been through some stuff the past few weeks, so I have totally forgotten to post updates. We packed up and moved from California to Pennsylvania, had a hard time, and immediately decided we needed to temporarily move back to Arizona. We hate it here, and will leave as soon as we can (probably at 3 months post-partum), but my last birth was intense, and we will need some help around our little boy’s birthing time. So here we finally are, 1 flight, 2 shipments, and 1 37 hour drive later. We’ll be moved in in about a week, until then we’re staying with Brian’s sister. I have 2 weeks left till the 3rd trimester starts and I’m so ready to focus on my babies.
How far along? 26 weeks
Trimester? 2nd, 2 more weeks till the 3rd!
Total weight gain/loss: I have no idea with how busy and transient we’ve been, but I’d guess between 10 – 16 lbs. I feel enormous!
Baby size: Green onion, 14 inches, 1 2/3 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Oh yes, welcome to my body you glorious comfort rags.
Stretch marks? Nope, even though I’m showing much more than last time, thus far no new stretchies.
Sleep: Sleep has been worse for sure. The achy hips, butt, and side have begun. I roll from side to side constantly and it’s just hard to get comfortable.
Best moment this week: It’s been a wild few weeks, we moved across the country, then moved back. The best moment was when we were finished with our 37 hour drive and got to hold and kiss our Hazel again!
Have you told family and friends: Yes! We told everyone right after we found out, around 8 weeks. We just couldn’t wait this time!
Movement: Little boy moves like crazy. He’s very close to the surface most of the time and I can feel his little tiny body. At first I thought I was feeling my intestines or something lol just because it was so weird compared to last time, Hazel was never that close to the surface just hanging out. But it’s my boy! He kicks a lot and slides around. He became especially active this last week.
Food cravings: No, I really don’t get cravings while pregnant. I always want soda, which for me is weird. I hadn’t had it in probably 4 years before Hazel and will have to get back to that after this little one arrives.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No, well some smells…coffee, breath, cookies.
Have you started to show yet: Yes! I’m a beast.
Leakage: A little bit!
Gender prediction: We are having a boy, confirmed via anatomy scan at 20 weeks.
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? Flat with a small umbilical hernia I earned from pushing Hazel out for 4 hours. It almost looks like an outtie but it’s all an illusion! Hopefully after this little is born I can tighten this bod up enough to fix that hernia naturally.
Wedding rings on or off? On, I haven’t swelled at all.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Moody, but mostly weepy and slightly grumpy. These past few weeks have been an intense roller coaster of emotion with all we went through.
Weekly Wisdom: Sleep while you have the chance! You’ll pretty much never get to sleep in again.
Milestones: Baby’s eyes are about to open, his brain is developing, and his ears are maturing, he is getting so big!
